Editing Techniques in Misfits

The editing techniques in Misfits is almost recognisable in the outset; the scens starts of the eye line match it helps identify the main characters and the rerason why they are in the scene.
It further starts of with a non diagetic narrative introduction of music, perhaps to highlight the seriousness of the crimes that occurred. further there is time compression in the main part of the episode to bring a more dramatic climax once the misfits actually realise they have these so called powers.
It further goes on to have shot reverse shot and match on action. this occurs when the "Misfits" are engaged in there community work . The first one you notice is when they cut away in the scene where the painting of the benches is taking place to focus more on the paint itself.

This episode is very high in it editing techniques for it continues to use more & more editing techniques throughout.
